In the Forest

Subject: In the Forest Sat Aug 06, 2011 9:42 pm

I sat around in the forest, holding my battleaxe. So this is what it's like to be bored and the school probably hasn't stocked new monsters in the forest to slaughter. I threw my axe down to the ground and frowned. The axe sliced threw the earth, creating a semi-crater. I'm bored, wheres the monsters.....

I walked through the forest with nothing to do. I wasn't bored I just wanted to get away from the school and people. I sighed as I walked and walked trying not to trip and fall, I am clumsy at times. Soon I was deep in the forest and I finally tripped right in front of some guy. Just my luck.

I flew down from the tree. I proceeded to grab my battle axe that I threw down. I didn't expect for her to trip over it. I wasn't expecting anyone much to be here. Most people went to hang out at the lake or beach if they wanted to be alone. I flew back up to the tree and sat back down.

I got up and brushed the dirt off me. "It's ok." I laughed. "I'm wasn't watching where I was going." I looked down. "Oh my gods. Is that a battle axe?" I stared. "It's so cool!"

"Yeah," I replied. "My dad threw it from the sky and it nearly hit me. Apparently that's his way of sending a gift."

"It's enchanted so that I'm the only one that can lift it. Pretty cool huh?"

"You must be a son of Thor. This is the coolest thing I've ever seen!" I looked at him. "Can I try and pick it up?"

"I guess you can try," I said, throwing the axe back down. "I'm kinda bored. There's no monsters around to hit with it."

"The school hasn't stocked the forest with new monsters yet," I shrugged.

I smiled and grabbed the handel. I pulled and pulled and pulled but it wouldn't budge. I panted and finally gave up. I laughed at myself. "You weren't kidding when you said no one but u could pick it up." I laughed again.

"I know right," I laughed. "It's funny mid-battle when a monster tries to pick it up. It's hilarious."

"It's a good diversion for five minutes," I said. "Then they realize their wasting their time."

"I would love to see that." I laughed at the picture in my mind. "You're lucky. My only weapon is a bow and arrow. I haven't gotten a gift from Athena yet." I sat down on the ground.

"My dad nearly killed me by nearly throwing it at my head. If I hadn't of ducked I would've been a goner." I shrugged. "But cheer up, you'll get a gift from Athena eventually."

"Athena could still be figuring out exactly what to get for you." I said.

I smiled. "Yeah hopefully." I looked up at him. "So why are you out here?"

"Well I was here hopefully to kill monsters," I replied. "The school apparently didn't stock any new monsters yet though."

"SO that explains why I'm here. I guess," I said.

"Hm." I looked around. "Guess you're right." I sighed. "Well I came out here cause I just wanted to be alone really. I know most people would go to the beach or lake to get away but so many people think that they should go there you're never really alone. And since there are no monsters its fairly quiet."

"True," I shrugged. "People always go to the beach or lake to be alone."

"No one really comes into the forest to be alone," I said. "It is quiet since everyone cleared the monsters out."

"Yea." I inhaled deeply. "And the smell it's very-" I was cut off as a black shadow jumped in front of me. "AH!" I scream as the hellhound looked me straight in the eyes. I grabbed the dagger the was strapped to my calf and threw it at it.

"Not completely cleared out," I corrected myself as I threw my battle axe at the hell-hound's head.

"Either the school's stocked the forest now or it's the last monster in the forest." I said. "More likely that it's the last monster in the forest."

I tooke a deep breath. "Dear Gods! I about had a heart attack!" I laughed at myself. "Just my luck. I almost get killed."

I watched as the hellhound exploded into monster dust as the dagger and axe sliced it. I walked over and picked up my battleaxe.

"There goes the last monster in the forest," I shrugged.

I got up and moved away from where the hell hound was. I sat back down near a tree. "Thanks by the way." I smiled. "I just noticed we've been talking for like ten minutes and we still don't know each others names." I chuckled.

"Thanks. You're right its not every day you meet someone. Out of all the places here I would have never thought the forest." I smiled. "But I'm gad I did."
