Statues, Nightmares, and Hallways

Subject: Statues, Nightmares, and Hallways Wed Jun 15, 2011 7:51 pm

Wonder how long it's been since I arrived. It's kind of funny if I stand still long enough I look like a statue. It's fun to use as a way to scare people. If you've ever heard the phrase sticks and stones will break my bones, it doesn't apply to me. Odd huh? I guess.

I was walking along the hallway in a dark blue robe that had a hoodie. The hoodie was over my head so that all that was showing was my face. I was wearing black shoes and black gloves with holes for the fingers. I continued to walk forward until I saw a boy who seemed to be just standing there. "That's weird." I said more to myself than to anybody in particular. I then walked up to him and said, "Uh, hello. Can I help you with anything?" My eyes had a cold icy look in them that told anybody who noticed that I was an extremely serious person most of the time. My attitude was cold and harsh just like the winters that my mother was goddess of.

I should probably go stand somewhere else. Too late for that, I guess. The first time I walked down this hallway, I was still that orphan who attending an expensive boarding school paid by charity. Now, I'm a demigod, funny how that works out.

I smirked and said, "Hope you don't mind if I just stand here with you then." This kid seemed friendly enough I wondered who he might be or what his story was. Once I knew then I could decide whether or not he would make a good friend or a good ice sculpture. Either way I would get something good out of it.

Most people probably think of me as weird. I mean I spent a lot of my time standing still looking like a statue...for no reason. I've always been like this... well probably not always because I lost my memories. For as far back as I can remember, at least.

I looked at the boy and nodded saying, "The name's Amelia Rosery, famous painter, sculptor, and violinist. Most people call me Amy though. Who might you be?" I didn't even know this kid's name yet but I knew something was different about him. Something that wasn't like most of the kids here.

Amelia Rosery, I have heard that name before. It's kind of cool meeting a famous person. Plus they attend the same school as me.

I listened as he told me his name and then I said, "So tell me Aaron, what can you tell me about your past? Anything you can tell me would be greatly appreciated." I wanted to know everything I could about Aaron before I made up my decision to ice him or to befriend him.

"The thing is, I don't know much about my past. I lost my memories some time ago." I said.

I nodded and said, "I see, do you know who your god or titan parent is?" I wondered who this kid could possibly be related. This questionnaire was absolutely necessary for me to make up my mind about him.

"Atlas," I said. "At least that's what the people here told me."

I still had my doubts. I wasn't completely sure to trust what they say or not. I did lose my memories, so I can still hold my doubts.

[color=lightblueI then thought about this for a second. Atlas... He was the titan that carried the sky's burden... How could I use this to my advantage. Also this guy not remembering any of his past. That was weird. Perhaps he had had a run in with a child of Mnemosyne or Mnemosyne herself. I then said to him, "Well, I'm not sure if I can trust you yet but how about I get to know you a bit more before I decide to befriend you or to add you to my collection of ice sculptures. You're already at a bit of a disadvantage due to my inclination to hating people of the male gender."[/color]

I'm not sure if I'm really the son of Atlas or not. I mean he is holding up the sky, how would that have worked? That's one reason why I have my doubts. I'm pretty sure he can't leave from holding up the sky, unless we were to be crushed to death.

I nodded and said, "So what are your aspirations, Aaron? Do you hope to be as evil as the titan your father was when you get older? Or do you hope to make amends for his wrongdoings?" If he chose the path of evil I would have to freeze him right here and now but I hoped it wouldn't come to that. I didn't need people thinking that I was a murderer of innocents.

Why is it assumed that the children of the Titans who've had history of being evil are evil themselves? Actually I don't blame them for that, the phrase better safe than sorry sums that up quickly.

I listened to his answer and said to him, "Well there's one point that I find good about you. At least you don't plan on being evil. If you did plan on being evil it would be straight to the ice box for you. Anyways next question. What can you do? How could you be of service to me if I did decide to befriend you?"

"Other than the above human strength" I said. "I am a master military strategist. Also skilled in unarmed combat"

I never tried my way in armed combat, mainly because I never had a weapon. I never found that to be a problem because I could handle most things without a weapon, plus I don't fight a lot.

I looked at him and said, "So if I were to befriend you, if I was ever in danger of getting attacked by someone would you step in and defend me?" I could always use some extra bodyguards. People were always trying to rape me thinking they could just have their way with the famous sculptor/painter/violinist. They were wrong of course and that was where a lot of my ice sculptures came from but I could always use a couple of bodyguards.

Probably a shock coming from the son of Atlas. But there's probably other things in this school to be shocked about.

I smiled at the boy then and placed my hand on his shoulder then. I told him, "Well welcome to my group of friends then, Aaron." I then remembered something. Should I tell him about the dreams I had been having? The nightmares? I began to say, "Now there's something you should probably know and that is that I have been having these..." I gave it a second thought and said, "Nevermind, it's probably better not to tell you. I don't need another casualty."

Am I the only one hearing this? All these crashing noises and sounds of objects breaking? The only smelling like there's something burning? It's probably nothing. If there was a fire, the school has a fire alarm that would be wailing like crazy right now right? Probably.

I said to the boy, "If I tell you this you have to promise not to tell anyone ever. Their lives will be in danger as well if we tell them." I hoped this boy, Aaron, could help me though.

I think the crashing noises may have stopped.. Nope, they haven't. The smoke smell is still there. The crashing noise is getting louder though.

I took a deep breath and then said to him, "I've been having these nightmares about a guy with a very burned face. He has a flove with knives on his right hand. He leads me into this room and then starts chasing me. He tries to kill me and something just tells me that if he kills me in my dreams, I'm not waking up."
